Trauma-informed Care
Trauma-informed care centers the nervous system response as an inherent survival mechanism that creates a framework of safety for an individual to live. The “Four R’s” of TIC are 1) Realization (trauma’s impact) 2) Recognition (understanding the signs and symptoms) 3) Response (a system of response) and 4) Resisting re-traumatization (empower individual and collective resources to negate overwhelm).

Somatic Parts-work
Somatic parts-work combines theories rooted in Somatic Experiencing and Internal Family Systems approach. This “bottom-up” and “top-down” combination values sensitization to the 5 senses as well as mapping each person’s unique emotional experience in parts. When looking at the Self in a system of “no bad parts”, conflicting and layered emotions are detangled and understood in a non-judgmental manner.
Logan has completed Level 1 & 2 of Somatic Parts-Work training by The Embody Lab.

ACT recognizes that pain is inevitable in life, but by shifting our relationship to painful emotions, we can live with less unnecessary suffering. Non-directive Play Therapy
“Non-directive play therapists are trained to trust that children are capable of directing their own process rather than the therapist imposing their own ideas of what the child needs to do in therapy to work through any challenges they may be facing. This requires the therapist to enter the emotional world of the child rather than expecting the child to understand the therapist’s world, which is beyond their capabilities.
Play therapy is based on the theory that play is a child’s language, the toys in the playroom are considered the words a child uses to express their inner experiences and how they perceive and experience the world. The toys in the playroom are then used by the child to speak to the therapist and communicate their inner thoughts and feelings.” The definition source here.
Logan has completed various supervised & experiential trainings for facilitating play therapy.
