Equitable Pricing

  • Soul Works believes that everyone deserves access to quality mental health care. As an out-of-network practice, Soul Works is committed to equitable pricing through a client-directed “choose what you pay” program. This enables clients to sustainably pay at, over, or under market value to support collective community care.

Prices suggested are for 45-minute sessions. Extended sessions are available.

Equitable pricing is also available for trainings, workshops and groups. Market pricing for community-based wellness varies. Please inquire for more information.

  • For folks that therapy is otherwise inaccessible due to lack of insurance, extreme hardship, or living below poverty lines.

Soul Works’ therapists are currently at capacity for pay-what-you-can clients. If you’d like to join the waitlist for pay-what-you-can services please contact us.

LOW COST

  • I invite you to pay this amount if you have limited financial resources and/or are unable to access most therapy options due to financial and societal barriers.

This rate helps Soul Works’ therapists to financially support their basic needs.

SUPPORTIVE COST

  • I invite you to pay this amount if you have some limited financial resources and/or are unable to access therapy services at the market rate.

This rate helps Soul Works’ therapists to work toward a sustainable, livable income.

SUSTAINING COST

  • (market) cost

I invite you to pay this amount - if you are able to meet your basic needs comfortably. This is the rate you may expect to see at other therapeutic centers.

This rate helps Soul Works’ therapists to sustain therapeutic services at a livable income while being mindful of burnout and self-care.

GROWTH COST

  • I invite you to pay this amount if you are able to meet your basic needs comfortably with an expendable income after savings.

This rate helps Soul Works’ therapists to sustain therapeutic services at a livable income and grow therapeutic skills, for ex., by supporting attendance for top-of-the-line continuing education, by increasing the ability to offer additional resources to therapy, and by increasing the ability to see more low-cost clients.

MOST GROWTH COST

  • I invite you to pay this amount if you are able to meet your basic needs comfortably with expendable income after savings and you would like to support those who are not able to afford therapeutic services at the market rate.

This rate helps Soul Works’ therapists to sustain therapeutic services at a livable income, grow therapeutic skills, and provide therapy to those who may otherwise not be able to afford out-of-network services.

  • Soul Works Healing empowers clients to choose a rate that is financially compatible for them. When considering this rate clients are encouraged to choose a rate that is sustainable for them, meaning that this rate supports their access to therapy at the frequency they are in need of.

When a client decides on a sustainable rate, this also supports therapists’ sustainability to offer equitable pricing while maintaining quality therapeutic work.

Learn more about joining the beauty of equitable pricing in this article by therapist Georgiana Mora, LICSW.

  • The following statements, though certainly not exhaustive, may be used as a map to help locate your financial commitment to therapeutic services. I recommend that potential clients also consider what is “sacrifice vs. hardship” mindset while reading.

  • Logan is an out-of-network provider meaning that she is not paneled with insurance companies and does not submit insurance claims on behalf of clients. Logan gives her clients a “Superbill” at the end of the month for clients to independently submit to their insurance company if they wish to receive reimbursement.

Most individuals are able to submit and receive reimbursement from their insurance company on their own with no issues after they have reached their out-of-network deductible.

  • This article by Lauren Hahn reviews important questions to ensure that out-of-network therapy is a compatible fit for you.

    • What is my out-of-network deductible?

    • How much of my out-of-network deductible has already been met?

    • What is my policy period?

    • What is my co-insurance?

    • What is my reimbursement rate for a 45-52 minute session (90834) and a 53-60 minute session (90837)?

    • How do I submit for reimbursement?

    • How long do I have to submit my Suberbill?

  • Logan uses an equitable pricing model to help people access therapy at a price that is compatible with them, regardless of whether or not they have insurance. If individuals do not have insurance, they can still access therapy with Logan.

Diagnosis codes are provided when individuals would like to seek insurance reimbursement or would like a diagnosis for personal reasons. People not seeking a diagnosis for these reasons do not have to receive one.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers are required to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for all medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. While it is not possible for a therapist to know, in advance, how many psychotherapy sessions may be necessary or appropriate for a given person, this form provides an estimate of the cost of services provided.

If you receive a bill that is $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.
